I am offering personal, one on one teaching, consulting, mentoring in the fine and visual arts.
My experience and knowledge is helpful, if not critical, for a student developing a portfolio for a magnet HS for the Arts, for Art school/University acceptance, and/or recent graduates and artists looking for mentoring, guidlines to moving forward as a successful artist. I am well-versed with networks to directly help.
My schedule is client-specific, and we will focus on direct, short and long term goals.

I love working with enthusiastic creative people, and helping other artists find their way with joy.

About this Lister

I am a BFA and MFA trained, award winning professional Visual Artist who has maintained a proactive artistic practice for 30 years.

I have received National and International Artists Grants, Exhibitions, and Public Art Commissions, from various foundations as the Adolf and Esther Gottlieb grant, Pollack-Krasner grant, and many others, and permanent public art commissions from city, county, and state government agengies.

I have taught as an Artist in Residence in public schools, including Arts Magnet Schools, and Universities as an Adjunct Professor teaching Drawing, 2D and 3D Design, Sculpture and Multi-media for many years, and taught Sculpture for the American University's Italy program.

Background and Expertise

I have a BFA in Fine Arts, and Concetration in Art Therapy, Philadelphia College For the Arts, now known as the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.

I have a MFA in Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.

I'm certified in Art Teaching K-12, New York State Department of Education, and certification for same, California Department of Education.

My teaching experience includes K-12, post HS mentoring, working with at-risk teens in halfway houses and programs, intergenerational art workshops, and art mentoring with working artists.
