Hi everyone!
I'm a doctoral student subletting my two bedroom apartment for a long-term sublet while I work on my dissertation research abroad in Brazil. It's very spacious, quiet, and a secure first floor walk-up with a full kitchen, full bath, and fully furnished. My pre-war apartment has original wood floors in great condition, high ceilings, tons of natural light, and closets with additional vaulted storage space. I've used the second room very comfortably for my studies and as a work/workout space. I live in a friendly and quiet neighborhood near tons of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores- one of my favorite things about living here/what I'll miss is my neighbors is that it's very family and pet friendly, without a lot of foot traffic and The building is located between scenic Riverside Drive and Broadway on 136th, one block from the 1 train, and two stops to Columbia University. Ideal for students, couples, or people who enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city a short train ride away, and/or quiet evenings at home. It's also steps away from Riverbank State Park, and has incredible views of the Hudson. It's very accessible to walk/run, there's plenty of street parking, and a great laundromat is right around the corner. New AC window unit is installed, and utilities are included in rent. Email ASAP to schedule a showing!
Hi everyone! I'm a PhD candidate in Anthropology and Education at Teachers College, and have lived in my apartment for over 3 years. I am an avid long distance runner, teacher, a little bit artsy, bibliophile, I enjoy cooking, and am very clean. As I am embarking on my dissertation research abroad in Brazil for a year, I am looking for the right tenant(s) to help take care of and enjoy my apartment. It is a great fit for people who are active (Riverside Drive is a great, scenic area), but also enjoy quiet nights at home. My neighborhood is very family-oriented, and many tenants in my building/along my block have owned their homes for quite some time. I honestly feel lucky to have this space! I am happy to coordinate a showing (I am already in Brazil so I cannot do it myself), but I'm responsive to inquiries and can chat via WhatsApp or text through regular messaging, and have a trusted friend/ neighbor who can show it in person. I have a solid working relationship with my property manager and super, and am happy to communicate/facilitate communication with any prospective tenants. My pronouns are she/her, and any/all pronouns are welcome :)
