The Artists House, designed and built by my father in 2001, was the culmination of his dream to have a tranquil sanctuary where friends and family could experience nature while still enjoying the comforts of modern life.

The house sits on a large lakefront with stunning autumn views. Spend your days on woodland walks, biking, kayaking, wild swimming and stargazing.

The house sleeps 6-8, ideal for families or couples sharing. There are 2 bedrooms (one king-size, one queen) and 2 bathrooms both with shower, plus a large sleeping loft. Living space includes a great room with cathedral ceiling and panoramic views across the lake, wraparound deck, screened in porch, chef’s kitchen, large dining area, separate tv den, children's play area, and secret cinema room.

Wheelchair and walker access: the main living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms are all on the main floor. Access requires coming up 3 steps onto the porch and there is a small step up to the front entrance. The grounds are gently sloping down toward the water with a fairly even terrain.

A car is required as the house and lake are just over a mile outside the village of Galway, NY. Saratoga Springs is a 20 minute drive away, Schenectady is 30 minutes and Albany is 40 minutes. There is ample space for parking.

I work long hours as the owner of the village's cafe/grocery store, so I can't take advantage of the house and its surroundings as much as I would like - my wish is for others to be able to experience the beauty and serenity of this incredible spot.

I live over my store which is in the village, a 5 minute drive away, and I will be available to assist with any queries or issues you may have.
