Hi listers! I will be away from the city for a while to help take care of my aging father, and I am hoping to find a person or couple to sublet my little sanctuary in Brooklyn Heights while I'm away.

The apartment is super clean and fully furnished (see photos) and I've cleared half of my closet (an IKEA - PAX system) and storage space as needed for your stay. I have some flexibility on start/end dates and am open to exploring longer-term arrangements for the right fit.

You'll be on the 2nd floor of a small (8-unit) walk-up building on a quiet, tree-lined street near Brooklyn Bridge Park (less than a 5-minute walk). There’s an adorable Italian restaurant on the corner, a laundromat across the street, and a short walk to all the stores/restaurants/bars on Montague (including the heavenly L’appartment 4F bakery!), Atlantic Avenue and Court Street.

Queen-size bedroom with a very comfy, organic bamboo hybrid pillow-top mattress and a street-facing window with a fire escape that stretches over to the living room window (see photos). Between the IKEA closet and drawer storage bed, there's lots of versatility for tucking things away. Fire TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, etc., is wall-mounted in the bedroom.

The apartment has a full kitchen (with a big courtyard-facing window, currently home to my thriving house plants), a small living room, bathroom and a work/office space with an adjustable sit-stand desk that I’ve used for my full-time WFH job that you’re welcome to use during your stay.

Electric, gas and internet are included/covered by me.

About This Lister

I’m a journalist-turned-analyst (she/her) who has been in NYC for the past 10 years. I’ve been in this space for three+ years and absolutely love it; it’s an old building that’s been well-taken care of and retains the old school charm. Neighbors are generally fantastic & mostly quiet, and I have a great relationship with the landlord/building manager, who lives nearby and will be available if any issues arise during your stay.
