Beautiful bedroom, fully furnished, comfortable, very bright and quiet in an elevator building. A great view of the Manhattan skyline from the large window in the room and from the common living spaces, so there is a lot of light and watching sunsets from the couch. Laundry in the apartment, fully equipped kitchen. Fast wi-fi, heat, and electricity included. The 3-bedroom apartment is shared with another female Columbia Master student (Teachers College), who is very discreet. No pets allowed.
The apartment is across the street from City College and it is easily accessible by subway with 137 Street stop on #1 train (the Columbia Campus shuttle stops there as well). Express A and D, Local C and B trains at 145 Street are a short walk away. Close to Columbia University. Restaurants, cafes, parks, and shops near by. T
The room is available October 1, 2024 to students and visiting faculty for a semester or a full school year.
I am an artist, curator, educator, and STEAM curriculum developer (think 3D printing, robotics, ecology, growing food, fabrication of prototypes), and I work with museums and schools. I have a small studio in the apartment and sometimes work from home, but also I travel very often, so you will have a lot of time when I will ask you to please water my plants. I cook often, shop at the farmer's market and often have people join me for meals.

I own the apartment.
$1600 rent for the first month + $1000 deposit refundable when leaving. We are looking for someone considerate, with high standard for cleanliness and tidiness. The apartment has a communal feel, so someone who is observant, quick learner, and social will be a good fit.
