A unique duplex with high ceilings, huge windows and large private terrace & shared roof deck.
Enter through the front door on the fourth floor (walk up) into the open plan kitchen/dining/living room. The room is filled with light from the balcony and looks out to huge trees, with more than enough space for a bistro table and plants/herb garden. The kitchen has a 4-ring gas stove and large gas oven, ample countertop space, fantastic storage and a Bosch dishwasher.
The main bedroom is flooded by light all morning thanks to huge windows. Remote-controlled blackout blinds also allow for a weekend lie-in. From the bedroom you access 2 large closets.
Upstairs you find another light-filled room. A large slider leads to a huge 180sq ft private terrace that looks out at treetops while on the other side another slider provides direct access to the building’s communal roof terrace.
The building intercom system comes with an app so you can be sure deliveries make it inside. There are just 6 units in the building. The in-unit washer/dryer means no trips to the laundrette.
The Myrtle/Broadway JMZ stop is less than 2 mins away and there is a Citibike station outside the front door. You can be in Williamsburg in 15mins, Manhattan in 20mins and JFK in 45mins.
Just outside the apartment is High & Dry coffee and Indika House, one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC, and La Lupe Cantina serves great Mexican. A few blocks away you will also find Ornithology, a renowned jazz bar.
A 10-min walk brings you to the L train at Morgan Avenue next to Roberta’s Pizza and the fantastic Syndicate movie theater/bar. Nearby is Otis (great for a cocktail and/or dinner) and Eyval for amazing Persian.
Walk into Bushwick and around Knickerbocker Avenue you will find curated vintage stores (Other People’s Clothes), coffee shops to work or read in (Nook), deli’s (Foster Sundry), and a ton of restaurants (Turk’s Inn) and bars (Carousel).
You also have plenty of grocery stores nearby: Foodtown for larger shops and Mr Kiwi for when you’ve forgotten something. Food Bazaar and Shop Fair are also just minutes away.
The apt is best suited to a couple and is currently configured as a 1-bed with the main living room upstairs and an additional ‘nook’ downstairs. Upstairs could also be used as a bedroom.
We are the owners and will be showing the apartment ourselves - looking forward to meeting you!
We are an American-British couple who moved to NYC last year. We've been living in the apartment, but are moving neighborhoods to be closer to our friends with kids.
