We're looking to rent out our one-bedroom condo in a small and well-kept boutique building with an elevator and lovely rooftop. Located on the border between Bushwick and Bed-Stuy, we're a half block from the J/Z, with the L, A, and C trains a few blocks away.

There's a washer and dryer in the unit as well as a lovely balcony off the living room. The apartment overlooks the subway, but thanks to modern Pella windows, all you experience is the pleasure of watching the gleaming trains go by - a classic NYC experience! The building also has a nice rooftop with wooden deck flooring and some patio furniture. The rooftop is about 7 stories high, so the views are panoramic. Finally, as a huge perk for those with cars, parking on the street is reliably easy: during all times of the day, we've been able to find a spot on our block.

This apartment has been our happy home for four years; the building was brand-new when we came so you would be the second inhabitants of the condo. The kitchen has top of the line appliances - a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator, Blomberg gas range, and a Bosch Silence Plus dishwasher. For trash disposal, each level of the building has its own impeccably clean trash room, which you would only share with the apartment across the hall. We've also put work into the apartment ourselves: in the kitchen, we've installed custom plywood cabinets finished in an all-natural wax. In the bedroom, we've put up professional-grade acoustic panels, similar to those used in recording studios, for maximum peace and quiet.

Our neighbors are wonderful, quiet people who will lend a helping hand if need be. The building is located on Decatur Street where beautiful historic brownstones line the streets. Saratoga Park is nearby and if you have a dog, there's a happenin' community of doggie parents who meet there every day before 9 a.m.

Nearby neighborhood joints include: All Night Skate, a retro 90's themed bar with fun drinks and tasty tacos; The Tiny Cupboard, a comedy club with great stand-up and board games; September, a coffee shop with excellent pastries; Maya Fusion Cafe, a Salvadorian and Mexican restaurant with stellar papusas; Cuts and Slices, a unique pizzeria with menu options like Oxtail Pizza. For artists, Artist & Craftsman Supply of Bushwick is a ten-minute walk away.

Before writing to us, we're requesting you take a virtual walk around the neighborhood. We live on Decatur Street and our cross street is Broadway. You'll see that we're half a block from the J/Z train on Broadway and there's some construction plywood on the street because the city has been repainting the subway structure. If you walk down Decatur Street on the Bushwick side, you'll hit Bushwick Avenue right away where there are tasty restaurants and bars, and if you walk down Decatur Street on the Bed-Stuy side, the streets are lined with historic brownstones and Saratoga Park is a few blocks away. Though we have loved being half a block from the subway, living near a busy thoroughfare is not for everyone, so please take a look around on Google maps before contacting us.
