Seeking female roommate (25+ preferred) for lease that begins Feb. 1.
-Your share of the rent would be $1562 a month (plus utilities + wifi)
-This is a 2BR, 2BA apartment, so you’d have your own private bathroom in the hall
-In-unit washer/dryer! And dishwasher
-Located on the 2nd floor (building is 4 floors and has about 9 units)
-Centrally located in Bushwick — 5-minute walk from the Myrtle Broadway JMZ in one direction and a 5-minute walk from the Central Ave M in the other direction. Also a 14-minute walk from the Morgan Ave L train
-Despite the central location, we’re on a side street that is relatively quiet, but within close distance of amazing bars, coffee shops, and food
-Your room is unfurnished, but the shared spaces are furnished
-Railroad apartment (two bedrooms are far apart) which is great for privacy and wfh calls
-FYI, your room does not have a closet but there is a large clothing rack you can use
-No pets, sorry! And no short-term sublets
-You will need to be approved by the landlord to sign onto the lease, which means you should make 40x the rent. Guarantors are also fine. They will also require a security deposit ($1500)
What I’m looking for:
-Female or nonbinary roommate, ideally in their late twenties/early thirties
-Someone who can commit to a yearlong lease beginning on Feb. 1st. No short-term sublets!
-Clean/quiet/respectful of the shared spaces
-Open communication, especially when it comes to guests
-Ideally someone who goes into their office/workplace most days, since I primarily wfh
-LGBTQ+ friendly
If you think this is a good fit, please email me and include a little info about yourself and your Instagram handle/another social media link. Let me know if you have any questions!
About me (the roommate):
I’m 29F and have lived in New York/this apartment for the past three years. (I lived with the same roommate for all three years, but she is now moving in with her partner). I work as a publicist at an indie book publisher, and I typically go into the office in Manhattan 1-2 days a week and work from home on the other days. I also tutor via Zoom part-time in the evenings. I love reading, yoga, and seeing live theatre in my free time. I have an active social life, but I definitely like to keep things chill and quiet on weeknights. Open to becoming friends with a roommate but also very happy to do my own thing! I tend to keep to myself in the apartment for the most part.

You will need to be approved by the landlord to sign onto the lease, which means you should make 40x the rent. Guarantors are also fine, I believe they need to make 80x the rent. In addition to first month’s rent, they will also require a security deposit ($1500)
