The room is $1285 comes with a bed and a built in wardrobe. Utilities are about $100/month.
The apt is Non-smoking, LGBTQ Friendly, and very large. There is a grocery store one block away, laundry 3 blocks away and the library just 2 blocks away.
About me: I'm a 40 year old woman, and I have been living in NYC for 15 years. I work in film and TV (behind the scenes) and When I'm working my days tend to be long. When I'm not working I draw and paint, watch movies, take walks in the park and read in the living room, and try to see a friends for drinks.
The other roommate is in her mid-30's doing an MBA in sustainability. She's part time in the house and her free time is spent hiking, biking and working with animals.
We are looking for someone friendly, relaxed, and respectful, who can clean up after themselves. This is a home, and while we love to host friends and family for small gatherings it is not a party/late night destination. The house is fully set up so it is ideal for someone looking for a short term turn-key environment, who doesn't have a ton of household things. In the past we have hosted, students, visiting artists and writers, as well as locals who are looking to give Park Slope a try. There is a potential to stay longer if there is a good fit. We are vaxed, and we wear our masks when on airplains and trains, and we hope you do too.
I'm the current lease holder.
First month's rent and security to move in. We have a standard NY sublet agreement to sign. Utilities are an additional cost (usually $50-$100 per person/month depending on AC use).
