Looking for someone who wants to take over my lease for a two bedroom apartment in Williamsburg.
Dates are ASAP - June 18th with option to extend. Not furnished, pictures for reference. However, I may be leaving a few things behind (couch, a dresser, coffee table, potentially a queen size mattress and basic bed frame) if you want to discuss buying them for cheap.
ROOM DETAILS
One room is big and sunny and has a closet. It’s large enough for a queen or king bed, a dresser and a desk. (The room off the right of the living room.
The other room is smaller. I typically used this as an office but also had a roommate living there for a year. It has a closet and can fit a big dresser and full size bed. (The room straight off the living room. Working on getting pics of this room as I’m out of town!)
APARTMENT DETAILS
Apartment has a good size living room with space for a large couch and another small arm chair. Full size bathroom with tub, and full kitchen that comes with a full size fridge and dishwasher. Laundry is in the basement of the building (3x washers 3x dryers). I had some storage built in the hallway where I was storing bins with winter coats, suitcases, holiday decorations, etc. There is also some storage above the kitchen cabinets where I had about 3 small bins of different hardware stuff stored.
NOTE: this is a six floor walk-up with no elevator, but I swear you get used to it!
THE AREA
- Walking distance from the L, G and JMZ trains.
- Tons of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops in the area. A grocery store a block away, but also a few minute walk from Bedford where there is a Whole Foods, Equinox, etc.
- One block from the commodore bar, for reference.

I've lived in the building for 4 years and love it. I'm moving out because I have an older dog who is struggling with the stairs these days and a friend of mine is passing their more accessible apartment on to me.
Renter
My landlord is aware that I am finding someone to take over my lease, so they will likely do a credit check and as that the person makes 40x the rent or has a guarantor.
They say that you need to have your pet approved, but I've had my dog, a roomate with a dog, and many foster dogs while I've lived there without any issues as long as they're well behaved.
