Hi! I'm subletting my one-bedroom apartment for up to eight months (May 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025). The price includes all bills (electricity, heating, internet and gas). Ideally looking for someone to stay in the apartment until the end of the year but would also consider renting it out for at least three months.
APARTMENT: This is a very spacious, bright, and quiet apartment on the sixth floor (the top floor) of a pre-war building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a couple of blocks from the Sterling Street subway station (lines 2 and 5). The building has two elevators.
BEDROOM/LIVING ROOM: The living room and bedroom have the same size (18ftx12ft) and both have two north-facing windows that get plenty of natural light as well as hardwood floors. The bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a small desk. The living room has a large dining table, a couch, a coffee table, a projector/screen, a couple of armchairs, a bookshelf, lots of plants and some quirky artwork, etc
HEATING/COOLING: The apartment is warm in the winter but this is an old building and the radiators can get noisy. There are three fans and a window AC unit.
KITCHEN: There is an eat-in area with a small table and chairs and everything you may expect from a kitchen in terms of pots, pans, dishes, coffee cups and cooking utensils.
BATHROOM: There is a bathtub and a window.
ENTRANCE: There is also a little entrance/corridor and plenty of storage space.
NEIGHBORHOOD: The building is near the corner of Lefferts Avenue and New York Avenue, a 15-minute walk to Prospect Park, a 5-minute walk from Sterling Av. station on the #2 and #5 lines. We're near quite a few bars, coffee shops, a really cool jazz bar, and restaurants in Rogers and Nostrand Avenues.
There are a few grocery stores nearby, two large Kosher supermarkets around the corner, and Lincoln Market, which has lots of organic produce, is within walking distance.
YOU: My ideal subletter would be someone who is respectful of the place, communicates well, and takes good care of my plants (if you have a green thumb, that would be awesome!).
This is a non-smoking apartment.
