If you're a sucker for a landmarked NYC building with character, there's nothing like this place. An original from 1890, the warm, light-filled apartment is up a spiral staircase, on the corner of cobblestone street in Brooklyn Heights. (Joralemon and Columbia Pl.) Windows look out to the building's large, private (!!!) courtyard filled with big trees. Pets welcome!
I'm very flexible on sublet dates, between late February and March 31.
This is a unique, vibrant home packed with plants, books, art, and character, with the added benefit of riverside tranquility. You'll hear the migrating birds arrive and watch the flowers bloom and the trees leaf. Brooklyn Bridge Park is across the street and entrance to the famous Brooklyn Heights Promenade is five minutes away. Building is quiet and low-key.
Apartment is fully furnished with a shower and bathtub with water filter and super water pressure. Comfortable WFH set-up. Bedroom has queen-sized bed, bureau, large mirrors, large closet. Fan (or A/C if it's unseasonably warm). Smart TV. Kitchen has everything you need: stove, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware/mugs, electric kettle, crock pot, etc. Roof access w/views of Statue of Liberty, Governors Island, and downtown Manhattan.
The neighborhood is beautiful, filled with quiet historic streets, coffee shops, restaurants, famous bars, bookstores, boutiques, plus all the conveniences--Trader Joes and 2 other groceries, pet stores, pharmacies, etc. Subway (2/3/4/5/N/R) is 10 mins away and a very quick trip to Manhattan. There is also a wonderful ferry to Manhattan, Governor's Island, and other parts of Brooklyn. Apart from the building's private courtyard, there are FOUR great dog runs nearby.
This is a perfect place to spend some time in NYC.
I'm a writer and a lifelong New Yorker, and my dog is a West Texas heeler angel. I'm spending a couple months in the Tennessee mountains for work, so looking for a person (and perhaps her dog) to love and care for this apartment while I'm away.

Pet-friendly building, with a large private courtyard! Lots of neighbors have dogs.
