About this Lister

My name is Reed Turchi and I am the owner and operator of Second Take Sound. Originally from Swannanoa, North Carolina, I moved to Brooklyn in 2022, and am a musician and poet.

Background and Expertise

I got my start as an audio engineer recording albums out of the back of my car in North Mississippi with a portable rig, and I've toured all over the US and Europe performing my own music.

From 2012-2016 I was the Label Director at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, and after a stint in Nashville I moved to Brooklyn, and founded Second Take Sound in 2024 (taking the reigns and revamping the space, which was formerly known as GSI Studios and has a wonderful world-class jazz pedigree).
