This is a cozy, L-shaped studio apartment with parquet floors located in Sunnyside Gardens in NW Queens, just east of LIC and southeast of Astoria. Sunnyside is known for it's small-town vibe, yet only a 15-20 minute subway ride to Grand Central Station. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars are nestled into the neighborhood of tree-lined streets. Looking for someone who leads a relatively quiet home-life, who is respective of the property.
No pets allowed.
The apartment is stylishly furnished, yet un-cluttered, and located on the third floor of a four floor walk-up. No elevators, so not good for those with accessibility needs.
The building is in a sprawling park-like setting with courtyards and park benches.
Kitchen basics are provided. There is also a small air fryer and a pour-over coffee maker.
Heat, hot water, electricity, gas and internet are included in the cost.
Large laundry room on site with many washers and dryers, operated by a reloadable key card which I will leave in the apartment.
I am a painter who uses part of the studio for works that I do from home, and have easels and art supplies available should you want to use them. If not, the easels will be folded and leaned against one wall, leaving most of that space for you to use as you wish.
Bed linens and towels as well as some closet space will be made available for your stay.
Open to discussing subletting for the entire period or just one of the two months.
I'm an artist who has lived in NYC for sixteen years, and in Sunnyside for six years.
I have found this studio to be a refuge from the pace of Manhattan, yet within easy access to events that interest me within the city.
I will be traveling to teach painting, be inspired by other places, and work on my own projects.
I have been the tenant of this apartment for five years.
Viewing by appointment only.
One month's rent and a security deposit (equal to a month's rent), as well as a contractual agreement are needed before move-in can occur.
