This is a large basement studio with shared backyard access. The pictures give a better sense of how it is laid out than a description, but here is a brief overview
The dimensions are 70 feet long and the width varies from 14 - 16 ft. Ceilings are 6.6", but there is a beam at 6" that runs the length of the space. There are three windows (lighting is limited from those windows) and plenty of walls to work on paintings.
The studio has its own sink and toilet.
The studio is in a small commercial building located on a residential street near 5th Avenue. Other artists and makers have work spaces in the building. Heat is provided by the landlord.
The building is steps away from the 25th Street R train and near food and other fun things on 5th Avenue and Industry City. Minimum lease of 1 year and no living. Not suitable for art practices that require kilns or produce fumes.
We live in Brooklyn and are responsive to issues regarding the space.
