Stay in a sunny, quiet room on a historic block in Fort Greene! Welcome to our funky 1901 duplex brownstone that is filled with character and history. In addition to a big backyard, the building has four bedrooms, two living rooms, a dishwasher, two full bathrooms, and two private balconies.
Hardwood floors throughout, and the bathrooms are spacious (with great water pressure!).
Oh, and we have chickens.

The apartment and bedroom are fully furnished and all utilities and WiFi are included in the rental price, including bedding, towels, etc. So it's a perfect spot for folks who are in between leases, students, traveling nurses, visiting artists, etc.
It's a cozy, quiet space for creative minds and hardworking souls. Short and long-term stays are welcome, and we think that housing should be flexible and comfortable.

We're on the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill border, which might actually be the best corner of the entire city.

About This Lister

I'm a librarian and archivist, and I live in the garden apartment of the building. But I'm a cool librarian, I swear!
I help my (very chill, artist/professor/hippie-dippie) landlords fill the bedrooms upstairs. I've lived here for a long time and can't express how wonderful the neighborhood, building, and landlords are.

Rental requirements

If this ends up being a good fit and you want to confirm your dates, I send you a quick Google form that serves as a rental agreement, you'll just send me half of the first month's rent ($900) to save your spot on the calendar.
The rest of the first month's rent is due upon move in, and then payment is month-to-month, or week-to-week, depending on your plans.
We ask for 2 weeks notice for any date changes, but also try to be flexible and understand that things are unpredictable.
We try to keep things as simple and painless as possible!

Pets Policy

pets are approved rarely, and on an extremely case-by-case basis. At the discretion of the current tenants, landlord, and landlord's insurance.
We do love animals, but have to be extra strict in a shared space.
