Hither Hive is looking for Associates to join our team. At Hither Hive, we are dedicated to helping clients through life changes. Some of the services we offer:
Downsizing/decluttering. Work with the client to go through their belongings, help them decide what to keep, donate, discard.
Space planning: help clients decide what items they can fit in their new home.
Packing: Carefully wrap and box items for move.
Moving and resettling: Oversee movers on moving day. Resettle client(s) into a new home, which involves unpacking and organizing belongings
Estate clear-outs: Sometimes we must clear out a home. This includes homes of older adults who can no longer live alone or those with light hoarding situations. They can often be dusty, dirty, and have odors. These situations require compassion and understanding.
Professional organizing: help clients maximize their homes by creating organized solutions.
This role is a part-time position and will require good availability Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.
Role Responsibilities
Our associates will be expected to:
Be respectful and helpful to all clients, team members and partners
Follow the Team Lead’s instructions to efficiently and effectively complete our move management and home organizing projects
Help clients declutter
Pack items for moving
Unpack and organize items
Maintain digital inventories, including photographing items
Answer any questions that the customer may have about the process or direct them to the Team Lead
Ensure that no items are damaged during the projects that you work on
Ensure high client satisfaction
Role Requirements
Previous experience in move management and home organizing businesses a plus
Comfortable being on your feet for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 30lbs
Excellent client facing, written and verbal communication skills
Adaptable and a great problem solver
Empathy, honesty, integrity and reliability are required
A good eye for detail
Solid organizational skills
Experienced with Google Workspace
Familiarity with CRMs and project management software a plus
We specialize in senior/specialty move management, estate clear-outs, decluttering and professional organizing.
Jobs will be in/around Manhattan. Associate will work on a small team with Project Manager and sometimes another Associate.
PT hours. No guarantee of hours.
