Huge room + office in a duplex in Rockaway Beach close to shops, beach, and A Train! This flat is the upper flat of a two unit house. There are three bedrooms, one bathroom, and the kitchen on the first floor. Super stocked and functional kitchen -- great for the home chef. The dining/living area is on the second floor. In the winter there is radiator heat.
I am a surf coach and I'll be in France from Nov 12-29th. You have one roommate who is a clean surfer with a job who often spends time in Brooklyn with his girlfriend.
Rent includes: heat, electricity, and wifi. You also have backyard access. There is no washer/dryer, but there is a Euro unit in the downstairs flat, which you can use.
This is a great place for people who want to experience beach life. It's good for writers and other people who primarily work from home. Obviously excellent for surfers, especially now that the A Train is down on weekends.
Note: this is not "close" to Manhattan if you need to be in the city or in Brooklyn a majority of the time.
The house is located on one of the quieter streets on the bayside of Rockaway Beach. We are a four block walk to the A train at 67th St, the Rockaway Blvd Shopping area (Super Burrito, Vino By the Sea, Locals Surf Shop, and more), Stop n Shop, and just a 6 block walk to the 67th and 69th St beaches. We’re 2 blocks from Jamaica Bay. 20-30 minute train or car ride to JFK. The Far Rockaway LIRR is a 10 minute drive.
We’re not on a flood plain, thank goodness. It’s block by block out here and we’re on one of the good ones.
