My spacious, light-filled apartment occupies the entire second floor of a brownstone in the historic section of Clinton Hill. It's a great mix of old and new: high ceilings, marble fireplaces, and huge windows with both east and west exposures, but also an open cook's kitchen, central air conditioning, and washer/dryer tucked away in a larger-than-usual bathroom. It's well set up for someone who works from home with an office alcove in the oversized bedroom.

The house is on a quiet tree-lined street - a little oasis in the summer - yet with much to offer within walking distance: great restaurants and cafes, Fort Greene Park and its farmer's market, BAM, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Gardens, and the adjacent neighborhoods of Prospect Park and BedSty (with more good restaurants). Manhattan is a short ride away on the C train (three blocks from the house), and for travel within Brooklyn the G train is also just four blocks away.

I also have a house on Cape Cod, where I spend my summers.
