Hello! I am moving out of the city and looking for someone to take over my lease with my roommate. Ideally someone in 20s-30s, artistically minded and queer friendly who can take over the lease. Ideally between Nov 15 and Dec 1st.
$1600/mo + Utilities

My room has beautiful natural light and a private balcony facing the back of building (my favorite part of the apartment, with a huge tree in front of it). The living room is a generous amount of space that's lovely to hang out in, with built in Sonos speakers throughout. The apartment has retouched hardwood floors, central AC and heat, and a 3rd office space. Laundry is in the building (basement) and there's a shared rooftop patio from which you can see the nyc skyline. 5 minute walk from Kosciuszko J line or Central M line. 5-15 minute walk from many grocery store choices and Maria Hernandez Park.
Almost all of the furniture in the living room is my roommates so it's mostly there to stay. The balcony furniture, my bed frame, the side table, closet drawers, I'm happy to sell at a discounted price. Otherwise I can clear it for you.
My roommate is a queer white 32yr dancer, currently with Bill T Jones dance co. He loves music, DJing, and spends his evenings editing his film work. He's extremely accommodating about noise levels (since I'm quite quiet and meditate often), but he does love sharing music on his Sonos speakers. He's also a great cook... and you'll get to try lots of yummy things... fresh salads, home-made mayo and dressings, and plant-based deserts. He's also extremely handy... was the one who installed the living room bookshelves, redid the floor, and painted the walls. A real home-builder who I will miss.
Me, if it's important -- I'm a 29 yr old queer Vietnamese dancer/musician. I loved my space and felt at home here, but I'm moving to the Bay Area to be closer to my family and for less of the big city intensity.
