Spanning the entire top floor of an historic Bed-Stuy Brownstone, this fully furnished en-suite room in a 3 bed/2 bath apartment enjoys great natural light while remaining incredibly private. With terraces on either side of the room (one private, one, a garden, shared with 2 roommates), the space provides a peaceful environment for enjoying breathtaking views of the cityscape and skyline. Great for couples and individuals alike!

The room is fully furnished, with a full bed, a sofa, 2 desks and chairs, a dresser, a bookshelf, a wall-mounted smart TV, and also includes a massive walk-in closet and a private bathroom. Sheets and towels and other essentials are also provided. Additionally, all utilities (wi-fi, gas, and electric) are included in the rent.

The whole apartment is 2 floors (the 3rd and 4th floors of a Brownstone), with the kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, and shared entertaining space (as well as the 2 roommates' rooms) and a bathroom on the lower level and the available en-suite room and terraces on the upper level. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, mugs, cutlery, etc. and the futon in the common space opens into a pull-out bed, great for hosting overnight guests.

The apartment is situated in an incredible neighborhood, with Trad Room, Chez Oskar, Good 'Ol Days Diner, Saranghina, Dick and Jane's Bar Room, Nana Ramen, LunAtico, Early Yves, Milk & Pull, Passionfruit, Rita & Maria, and many more spots within a 5–10-minute walk. The A/C train at Utica is about a 10-minute walk (or 2-minute bus ride) from the apartment, while the B26 and B46 busses stop right at the corner of the block (1-minute-walk).

About This Lister

My partner and I currently share the space. We are both 31 years old and spend most of our time writing. She is a journalist who recently graduated from Columbia's Journalism School, and I am a poet. We love the neighborhood and have enjoyed exploring it over the last couple of years. We started a garden with our roommates on one of the terraces, and connecting with the natural world in this way has brought us a lot of joy (and produce!). We hope you enjoy this space as much as we do!

The 2 roommates (one she/her, one they/he) are young professionals (31 and 29) who keep regular hours during the week. One works from home (or from one of a number of nearby coffeeshops) while the other works on a hybrid schedule, going into the office 2 days a week. They both mostly spend weekends out of the apartment with friends.

Overall, we have been intentional about creating a space that is clean, communal, peaceful, and friendly to all.

Total cost for 1 month's rent, including all utilities, is $2200, which will be due at time of move-in/taking possession of the keys. Move in date is December 1st (or later). Move-out date is December 31st but can be flexible.
