We are looking for an individual or couple to sublease our 1-bed/1-bath apartment, ideally for a minimum of 14-days.
Apartment size: ~650 SF
Available Dates: January 12 to February 17
Price: $130/day for a minimum of 14-days (will discount the rate for longer stays) + $100 cleaning fee + $50 credit check, utilities included.
Pets: The building is pet-friendly, we are willing to consider on a case-by-case basis.
No parties, no smoking (cigarettes/vapes).

BUILDING
Closest trains: B/Q/R at Dekalb, A/C/F/N at Jay St Metrotech, 2/3 at Hoyt, and 4/5 at Borough Hall
The building is within a 15-minute walk to Dumbo, Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene and the Navy Yard.
This unit has 12-foot windows that are East-facing, which means you’ll gets lots of morning light. The building is equipped with a large elevator, but keep in mind that there are about 4-5 steps once you enter the building to get to the elevator. It’s one of the last remaining artist lofts left in Downtown Brooklyn. Laundry is located in the basement level of the building (pay with an app).
The building is adjacent to a police department (we’ve always felt safe living here) and a fire station (you might hear the occasional sirens).

NEIGHBORHOOD
We are about 8-minutes from City Point (Dekalb Market Food Hall, Trader Joe’s, Target, etc). Wegman’s is about 9-minutes away.
The bodega caddy corner from the building is open 24/7.

SPACE
Everything you see in the images (except for the items/suitcases in the closet area).
Bedroom: Queen-size bed, bedding and duvet included (you’re more than welcome to use your own). An extra wardrobe is available in the bedroom if you require.
Living Room: We moved our sofa to Texas but there is a smart TV, and a couple of chairs and floor cushions for your use.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with dishware, utensils and cookware.
Appliances: Microwave, Oven, Water Kettle, Juicer, Blender, Air Fryer
Desk/Office: There’s a desk and office chair available if you work from home.
The bathroom has a shower (no tub), toilet and sink and a large closet in the hallway.
Loft: We currently using the space above the bedroom as storage.
My husband and I, both in our mid-30s, recently moved most of our belongings to Texas and we plan on being bi-coastal over the next few months. I work as an interior design and my husband works in media/advertising.
We’ve lived here for the last 4 years (through COVID) and we love the building and our neighbors. If you need any recommendations, we’re happy to share some our favorites!
