This apartment is a two bedroom with rooms on opposite ends of the apartment. The room will be available on March 10 (possibly sooner). I'll be leaving town from March 12 - March 30th. You can also potentially stay after that once I'm back for a reduced price when we share the apartment.
There is good sound separation between our rooms, with the living room, kitchen, and bathroom between us. Your room faces the street on one side, with the living room (which I almost never use) on the other. The room includes a desk and monitor for working, if needed.
Through my room is access to a private back yard that I'm happy to share with you. The neighbor's windows also face it though, so I mostly keep it low key.
The apartment is located between the Kosciuszko J stop and Central M stop. No pets live here. Smoking weed inside your room is OK but no ciggs or other drugs plz.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
I will provide towels, toilet paper, etc, but otherwise I expect we will live like roommates. I.E. please wash your dishes and clean up after yourself and I will do the same.
If interested, please email a short description of yourself, what brings you to NY, and a link to your social media profile, if you have one. If all checks out we can do a little call to make sure we're both normal :)
I'm a 40 year old artist and graphic designer (he/him). I grew up around Chicago playing in punk bands and skateboarding. I moved here in 2019 after getting my MFA in Philly and now work as an art director and designer for an alcohol company. I work from home most days and keep it pretty low key. IG is below if you're curious.
I'm very clean and like to keep clutter to a minimum. You will never catch me with a sink full of dishes or stacking up the trash to avoid taking it out.
Most days I work on my laptop, cook a simple meal, listen to podcasts, and chill in my garden. I'm a night owl but drink very little. In my spare time I work on art, go to openings, grow plants, and run a little Etsy shop (below).
