This listing is for a railroad-style, one-bedroom apartment with a private, full backyard on the ground floor of a four-story brownstone in BedStuy, Brooklyn, very close to the borders of Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights.

Our home is well-loved and cherished. We welcome an individual or couple who will also respect and cherish our home and community.

BASICS

Apartment is available beginning January 19th through May 31st. There is some flexibility to extend into June. We are looking to sublet our apartment for the entire period, but are open to sublets for a minimum of 30 days.

Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, bullet blender, slow cooker, coffee machine, French press, coffee grinder, cookware and bakeware. Gas stove. Dining table with chairs and island table with stools. No dishwasher.

Cast-iron bath tub for lengthy, relaxing baths (shower is also present).

**BEDROOM

Very spacious. Perfect for yoga or movement. Comfortable, full-size bed with duvet and extra bedding. Two closets with built-in shelving.

Comfortable couch and additional seating. Smart TV with cable (HBO, Starz, etc.) and Hulu streaming service.

ABOUT THE COMMUTE

The apartment is in close proximity to several trains (~3-minute walk to the C local train, ~7-minute walk to A express train, and ~3-minute walk to S shuttle train with easy connections to the 2/3/4/5/B/Q trains).

There is a Citi Bike dock across the street from the apartment. Along Bedford Avenue, there is a protected bike-lane for easy rides to Williamsburg and beyond.

Additionally, there are nearby cafes, restaurants, bars, and parks (both Fort Greene Park and Prospect Park are a roughly 25-minute walk away!).

About This Lister

I am a long-time educator, intuitive coach and writer who has been living in Brooklyn for the past eighteen years. I split my time between London and Brooklyn along with my husband and our dog. We hope to find someone who will enjoy and take care of our home as much as we do.

Lister's Relationship to the Space

We are the current tenants.

Rental requirements

We require the first month's rent, a security deposit of one month's rent, and a sublease agreement.

We charge a cleaning fee of $200.

Our screening process involves a review of valid government IDs (for each tenant) and a video or in-person (if possible) meeting.

Note: 50% of the first month’s rent ($1,500) will be due upon signing the agreement. This deposit towards the first month’s rent will allow you to hold the space. The remaining balance of the first month’s rent ($1,500) plus the security deposit of one month’s rent ($3,000) will be due upon receiving the keys.

No smoking or parties are permitted.

Pets Policy

Trained and well-behaved pets are considered.
