This corner-unit Studio is modern & minimal in design, with high, floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, a fully stocked office space & kitchen, and bathroom with a tub/shower combination. It has nice furniture and appliances, including an automatic standing desk and professional espresso machine. The bed is full-sized.
The building contains a gym, pool, laundry, two lounges, and two outdoor terraces (including a rooftop one with spectacular views of downtown Manhattan), and nice doormen. You are free to use all of the amenities, and you may have one or two guests in the apartment or the terraces, but no parties. The apartment is very quiet, I’ve never heard my neighbors.
The area is walkable with lots to do, with many bars and restaurants nearby. In minutes, you can be at the East River, Hudson River, the Seaport, and Battery Park. Numerous train lines (1/2/3, 4/5/6, R/W, J, A/C/E) are minutes away. There is some construction across the street and there may be some intermittent noise throughout the day. Given this, noise levels are less than what you would expect in downtown Manhattan.
This is really a great space to enjoy nice views and a unique area of Manhattan. Also, if you plan to work, the standing desk and floor-to-ceiling views make it pleasant.
The building is accessible, and the apartment itself fairly accessible. If you have specific needs, let me know and I can adjust things.
I am an academic researcher who will be out of New York for the winter break. I’m looking for someone considerate and clean to take care of this beautiful space while I’m gone.
