Available for move-in March 1st (some flexibility for earlier) for just 1-4 months. Rate includes ALL utilities (gas, electricity, internet, heat and water, no cable). $200 monthly cleaning by longtime cleaning services. The window of the bedroom opens to view the rooftops of businesses below. We sometimes venture onto the rooftops for beers and conversations with friends, or just for sunlight. Franklin Park Beer Garden is behind us, so this apartment is not ideal for a light sleeper.
Rent for the bedroom is $2450 per month. The bedroom is about 10ft x 10ft, and furnished with a queen bed, desk, and nightstand.
About the apartment: It is a 2 bedroom, one bath apartment with wood floors, a large open kitchen/dining room area and large sunny living room. It is often described as spacious and cozy. It is the first floor unit of the building, which only has three units total. It is directly above a coffee house that has the best coffee in the neighborhood. :) The living room is setup to be a nice place to hang -- with a DVD player, smart TV, record player, and even a CD player.
I have a dog who admittedly sheds, but is a sweetie. I have a great relationship with the landlord and super, both of whom are very responsible and communicative if anything arises.
The apartment is located in the neighborhood of Crown Heights. We are jump away from subway lines 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Franklin Avenue stop, as well a 10 minute walk to the A/C train at Franklin Avenue. In addition to being above a coffee shop, we are also surrounded by all the essentials – burger joints, pizzerias, burrito places, wine shops, bodegas, markets, laundry mats, dry cleaning, bars, sushi places. Literally within only steps. We are also a short walk to the Brooklyn Museum, Library, Botanical Gardens, and Prospect Park. During COVID, many places have expanded their business to the streets so it's a nice lively block.
I am a mid-30s media/arts professional I'm a Southern-native who has been in the apartment for 13 years. I stay busy but also enjoy relaxing nights in because I do love the apartment, and might organize a dinner or two. Ideally someone social and chill, who of course likes doggos. :)
About the renter: Bonnie (hi, me!) is a filmmaker. I’ve lived in the apartment for 13 years. So it has a touch of my personality throughout. I am an Alabama-native, so I tend to be hospitable. The apartment is my oasis so a respectful and tidy subletter, who is a non-smoking inside (don't care what you do outside of the apartment!). My dog Hope is well-traveled and chill (not barky).
