I'm subletting a furnished one-bedroom in Oakland's walkable and bikeable Temescal neighborhood for the summer. My dates are flexible.

The apartment includes a spacious living room with a desk/work area, big windows, hardwood floors, and a separate bedroom space. (I've got plenty of extra linens if ever you want to put up a friend on the couch.) The kitchen is well-equipped — I love to cook so you should have everything you need (InstantPot, dutch oven, plenty of pots and pans and tools.) The one downside — no dishwasher. (I also don't have a TV, FYI).

The apartment is on the third floor of a building with no elevator. Laundry in the building. Utilities/internet included in the rent. I keep my space quite clean, so looking for someone who will also treat it with care.

I live in what I consider Oakland's best neighborhood for folks in their 20s/30s — you'll find plenty of restaurants on the San Francisco Chronicle's Top 100 list, great bars, and plenty of great boutiques and shops.

I'm also a 10-minute bike ride or 20-minute walk from Rockridge, another great walkable Oakland neighborhood. The MacArthur BART station is a 10-min walk away, and gets you into San Francisco in 20 minutes. If you need to get to San Jose, I bike 15 min to Amtrak, which gets you there in 1h20.

For groceries, I usually bike to Whole Foods (5 min bike ride, 20 min walk.) There's also a farmer's market in my neighborhood on Sundays! I'd be happy to let you borrow my bike so long as you lock it up/don't leave it anywhere overnight!
