My fully furnished one-bedroom apartment is a cozy retreat in the heart of Park Slope, nestled in a classic brownstone on a beautiful, tree-lined street just half a block from Prospect Park. Located on the third floor of a quiet 10-unit building, this apartment offers a bright and comfortable living space that’s perfect for enjoying the crisp end-of-spring days and welcoming the early signs of summer.
The apartment is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner electric stove, a compact oven, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, and all the pots, pans, and kitchen tools a home chef needs. Whether you’re cooking Sunday dinner and need an immersion blender or require a KitchenAid to bake your favorite cake, I have the essentials. The dining table seats four comfortably.
The living room features 13-foot ceilings and three large windows, creating a bright and open space. For entertainment, there’s an Apple TV and Firestick for streaming, and if you’re in the mood for something different, games and puzzles are available to enjoy. Plus, there’s a Peloton—just bring your cycling shoes for a quick workout!
The generously sized bedroom features a full-size bed with ample closet and dresser space. While there’s no in-unit washer and dryer, the building offers convenient coin-operated laundry on the basement floor.
The apartment typically maintains a comfortable temperature, but if it gets warm, the AC or fans are there to help. There is a window AC in the living room and a window fan available for the bedroom. May and June are often mild, so opening or closing the windows typically provides enough comfort for most.
The building is quiet, with friendly and respectful neighbors, making it an excellent environment for remote work or relaxation. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed, and nonsmokers are preferred (no smoking indoors).
Street parking is manageable, with spots often available on this block or the neighboring streets. Public transit options include the 2/3 at Grand Army Plaza, the B/Q at Flatbush, and further away the R at Union Street, and the F/G at 7th Ave/9th Street, making it easy to get around.
Local Highlights:
-- Prospect Park: Summer brings extra fun with Celebrate Brooklyn!, the free outdoor concert series, and the annual Prospect Park Bandshell events
-- Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market: Just a few blocks away, the market offers fresh produce, local goods, and artisanal products to enjoy and take home. A perfect spot for grocery runs or a leisurely Sunday morning.
-- 7th Ave.: 1.5 blocks from the joys of 7th Ave. cafes, groceries, and restaurants.
Having lived in this apartment for five years, I’ve fallen in love with the neighborhood and my wonderful neighbors. I work for a fully remove movement tech organization and I split my time between New York and Paris.
Fun fact: I discovered this apartment five years ago on the Listings Project and have been using the site ever since to arrange sublets for both this space and my Paris pied-à-terre.
I’ve used the Listings Project to sublet my apartment several times and have maintained connections with many of those who’ve stayed, several of whom have returned for multiple visits.
