Our house is an oasis in Oaxaca. It was originally designed by a prominent local architect and features pale terrazzo floors, lots of light and a wall of windows in the living/ dining space that looks out onto the garden. The house has 3 bedrooms in the main house as well as an office with a comfy daybed. The house is approximately 2000 sq feet on two levels. It also features secure parking for 2 cars if required.

The house is newly renovated and filled with custom designed furniture as well as vintage finds. The bedrooms feature down pillows, high thread count organic cotton sheets, organic mattresses and black out blinds. It has a brand new chefs kitchen with local marble counters, a smeg gas oven and cooktop and a dishwasher. The house also features 3.5 renovated bathrooms with rainfall shower heads and a triple water filtration system for the whole house. There’s a herb garden, Shaded outdoor dining area and hammock. Fast wifi throughout the house. The house also comes with a wonderful housekeeper who comes 3x a week, she can also cook for you if required. Our place is walking distance to downtown and 5 min from a fantastic 7 day a week farmers market!

The house can also be rented as a weekly rental-- the price per week is $1000 USD

Note: It’s true that many houses in Oaxaca are priced for less than ours. The reason for the rental price is that we have spent a fortune upgrading the house and garden. We also have to pay our house keeper, gardener, water supplier etc so the true cost of the house is much higher than it would be if someone was renting an un-renovated, unfurnished and unserviced home.
