We’re looking for a new home from mid-February 2025 (flexible move-in around 15 February or 1 March). Our budget is up to $6,900 per month, ideally including utilities.

We’d be thrilled to find a 3+ BR / 2 BA in a brownstone in Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene or Bed-Stuy, or a place in Greenpoint. In Manhattan, we’d love a 2+ BR / 2 BA in West Village, Greenwich Village or Chelsea.

An unfurnished (or partially furnished) space with a private or shared outdoor area and an in-unit washer/dryer would be ideal.

Hello, we’re Markus and Merle, a couple in our late thirties who moved to New York from Berlin in early 2023. Markus works for the EU Delegation to the UN, and Merle works with Oxfam America on labour and human rights projects. We love politics, the arts and travelling; Merle enjoys reading feminist literature, and Markus has been getting into AI.

We’re tidy, reliable, non-smokers with no pets. Our rent is covered by Markus’s employer, and we’re happy to provide payslips, references from previous landlords, or any other documents you may need. If you have a suitable space, we’d love to connect and hopefully make it our new home.
