Fabulous, spacious one bed loft in the best location in the very heart of Williamsburg! This light, airy home in an old factory building, boasts 14+ foot ceilings, large windows, exposed brick and tons of character. My main residence, it's furnished with pieces collected from world travels. You'll never go hungry or be bored - with countless great restaurants, cafes, coffee, boutiques, theaters and music venues at your doorstep. Easy access to the subway, and a Citi Bike station just outside.

The loft is light and comfortable, with a spacious and airy open plan living/dining /kitchen area and a cozy Queen sized bedroom where you'll sleep peacefully. The unit itself is nice and quiet. It's on the top (4th) floor of an old factory building, high enough to provide a nice view of the neighborhood buildings, surrounding streets, and sky.

Inside, the unit has plenty of character but does not sacrifice on comfort or modern conveniences. You'll find hardwood floors throughout covered in Moroccan rugs, light fixtures from Thailand and India, Indonesian textiles, a zinc topped table from the Cotswolds in England, art from Brazil and Vietnam. Every piece tells a story, and I'm happy to share those stories should you wish to know. You'll have everything you need for a great stay: excellent heat and air conditioning, wifi, TV via Roku (all the local networks, HBO, log-in to your Netflix, etc.). There's even an in-unit washer/dryer so you can pack light! The unit will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. You'll have nice soft sheets, a warm duvet, towels, hair dryer, and a closet area with hanging space, drawers and shelves for your belongings.

Important things to note:

(1) The loft is a walk-up (no elevator) in a 4 floor, old factory building with 5 total units. It's actually not too bad of a walk-up, but there are 3 sets of stairs to do before you reach the door. Also know that the building itself is old, and frankly I'd call the hallways ugly. Seriously. When you arrive, you'll be wondering what you got yourself into. Persevere, and you'll be rewarded! There are high ceilings, light and a feeling of having a calm escape from the city. I promise.

(3) The loft is suitable for 2 guests, max. There is one Queen bed in the unit.

(4) I'm looking for quiet, responsible guests that will treat my home in the same manner they treat their own (perhaps a bit better!). Dates are flexible beginning in January. I'm happy to discuss individual requirements.
