Facing the Sun Workshop is a fully remote, online workshop that is focused on creative renewal--reconnecting to your intuition and reclaiming your childlike creative spirit.
The Spring Session Cohort 1 will be March 20th through May 1st, 2025.
The Spring Session Cohort 2 will be April 18th through May 30th, 2025.
This is a gentle course for sparking visionary attention and awareness in your life; remembering who you are at your core.
A safe place for anyone craving camaraderie and accountability in nurturing your creative spirit. An invitation to realign with your imaginative heart, and make peace with your overthinking mind. This workshop is full of prompts, pleasures, and play to lead you back to your most authentic, creative self.
The content is delivered on a week-by-week basis and is largely self-directed with the exception of a weekly 1-hour (optional) communal online gathering for connection and creating together. These gatherings are on Wednesdays, 8pm EST. Participants may receive 1-1 advocacy and accountability throughout the workshop from Julie as desired. Attendees can also opt-in to be connected to small group of other participants for additional camaraderie.
For those who would like to participate but find the cost prohibitive, they can reach out directly to juliepointer (at) gmail.com.

I am Julie Pointer Adams--a multi-passionate artist, writer, photographer, and creative consultant. My work has spanned many different fields over the years (community organizing/event design, publishing, art direction, styling, floral design, interior consulting, authoring/photographing two published books with a third on the way) and this workshop has come together out of the trials and joys of my own creative journey.
I am thrilled to be able to offer this guided exploration for people to reconnect with their own childlike curiosity and creative attention to the world.
With 15+ years working across various creative fields, I have experienced all the ups and downs that come with pursuing my own unique creative calling and trying to remain true to the authentic artist within me. My particular interest is in helping others recover and reclaim their own creative self as a means to live more fully, whether or not one is a "creative professional." The workshop content aims to artfully synthesize all the insight I have gathered through my own experience, as well as those of other writers, artists, therapists, advocates and thinkers, past and present.
