Work solo but tired of working in isolation?
We have five part-time spots available at the Asterisk, a community workspace for people working in or passionate about healing and wellness, art and social justice. Part-time offices are perfect for peoples who need a workspace on a consistent part-time schedule while avoiding the cost of full-time office rentals. Perfect for therapists, solopreneurs, professional coaches, writers, justice workers, consultants, and anyone seeking a thoughtful environment and working community of passionate, creative and dedicated people.
Our part-time offices come fully furnished, and with access to the Asterisk's common spaces. We have central heat and air conditioning and stellar wifi, a gorgeous light-filled lobby, a large dedicated parking lot and three all-gender, single-use bathrooms. We have keyless entry and video door monitoring and remote unlocking (for the security when meeting with clients in the evening), and white noise machines in the main hallway to cut down on sound transfer.
Tenants have access to the common spaces, including our book-filled lounge and kitchen. Join the community workspace if you're craving company, or grab lunch at the dining table. And we're only steps away from a long rail trail for afternoon walks, with walking and biking distance to Uptown Kingston!
But the best part of the Asterisk is the community. We are a community of collaborators and cross-pollinators who are eager to share and grow alongside one another. The Asterisk is a place where we can do revolutionary-, care- and community-centered work alongside people who share our passion and vision for a liberated world. We believe creativity is healing, healing is justice, and justice is fueled by creativity. We enthusiastically welcome people of color, queer and trans folk and anyone seeking a supportive and inclusive place to work. The energy and vibe of the space is unique, and much needed in our difficult times.
Lease Options: Choose from 6- or 12-month terms.
Part-Time Availability: Rent the office for specific days of the week on a recurring basis (e.g., Mondays and Thursdays every week).
Consistent Schedule: Your selected days will remain the same each week throughout your lease.
Affordable Monthly Rates: Pay a flat monthly rate based on the number of days you select.
Accessibility: The offices are on the first floor, with four steps to the front door. The downstairs space has two entries: from inside a 13-stair staircase and from the outside a shallow 7-stair staircase.

We have the same last name because we are family. We raise a kiddo together in a home we share with a dog and cat in Kingston. We are obsessed about community and think it’s our most powerful resource.
