Light-filled bedroom available in Williamsburg apartment!
The Space:
The unit is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and a spacious fully equipped kitchen. It is on the second floor of a pre-war 4 unit apartment -no elevator available-. The building is a quiet family building.
The available room gets beautiful light through the day, thanks to a south facing window. It comes with a comfy queen size bed, full length mirror, small bookshelf, and a generous size closet.
The room is intended for one person only. No overnight guests, and no visitors.
The Vibe:
I view my space as a tranquil sanctuary, a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. While I occasionally host guests for meals, I prefer to engage in social activities outside my home. My partner stays over a few times a month.
Maintaining cleanliness is a priority for me. High-speed internet is available, and smoking is strictly prohibited indoors and in the hallways. Additionally, pets are not permitted.
I'm seeking a female housemate who values respect and amiability, taking pride in caring for our shared environment and tidying up after themselves. While I appreciate occasional shared meals, independence and a curiosity for city exploration are qualities I cherish in a roommate.
The Neighborhood:
Williamsburg stands out as a fantastic neighborhood, offering a number of amenities for every taste. From an abundance of dining options, cozy cafes, and vibrant music venues to convenient supermarkets, corner bodegas, and fitness centers, you will find for sure what suits you best. The nightlife scene thrives with bars, while book lovers find solace in local bookstores (including some hidden gems). If sunshine and park life is your thing, you will love spending time at Domino Park just two blocks away, offering serene waterfront views of the East River, and McCarren Park a mere 15 minutes distant. During the summer, you can enjoy the iconic McCarren outdoor pool, reminiscent of old New York charm.
Convenient services abound, with a laundromat offering wash-and-fold services across the street and a city bike station conveniently located on the corner.
Originally from South America, I've called New York City home for the past decade. I work at a Manhattan museum four days a week. Mornings find me up and out the door by 8:30 am.
Beyond the museum, I find joy in culinary adventures, literary explorations, NPR musings, art appreciation, and occasional TV indulgences. Weekends often lead me to the upstate hikes, kayaking, or the nurturing of my garden.
My apartment serves as a haven for recharging, fostering a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I'm inclined to keep social interactions beyond its walls, preferring solitude within.
I seek a female housemate who resonates with this vibe—a friendly, independent person who values cleanliness and harmony in shared spaces. I use she/her pronouns,
