I am going out of town in March and April, and I'm looking for a person or couple to stay in my apartment for at least three weeks while I'm away. ($825/wk, $3100/month)

The apartment is on the fourth floor of a 10-apartment Brooklyn Heights brownstone, optimally located a couple of blocks from Downtown and Cobble Hill, a few blocks from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade / Brooklyn Bridge Park, a 15-minute walk to both Carroll Gardens and Dumbo, and a 25-minute walk to Fort Greene. There's a Citibike dock a half-block away (and it's a 10-minute bike ride to get over the bridge into Manhattan), the 2, 3, 4, 5, and R trains are all a 5 minute walk away, and the A, C, F, and G are just a few minutes further.

The three large windows have a western exposure and get beautiful afternoon light. The view is of the tree-filled backyards of the other brownstones on the block. In mid-March, the magnolia tree in the neighbor's yard bursts into pink bloom.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The kitchen is small but has a full-sized fridge, range, and oven, plus a dish washer. One of the dining room table's chairs has an ergonomic back and butt rest so that you can comfortably work from home. The shower has good water pressure. There's wifi (though no tv) and A/C. There's a coin-operated washing machine and dryer in the basement. This is a walk-up building with no elevator. All utilities including wifi are included in rent.

I keep the space clean and am looking for someone who will do the same. No smoking, no pets. I am also looking for someone who will keep my plants alive by watering them once a week. :)

I've lived here for 5 years and love it. It's got a peaceful feel, the neighbors are great, and it's surrounded by beauty in every direction. There are tons of great coffeeshops, restaurants, and bars within easy walking distance, as well as supermarkets, dry cleaners, the post office, pharmacies, etc.

I've lived here since March 2020. (My move-in date was coincidentally the same weekend as lockdown started. Not fun, but I couldn't imagine a better place to hunker down than this apartment.)

Rental requirements

Full rent, a security deposit, and a signed sublease contract will be required to secure your rental. The security deposit will be held in a checking account and returned within 14 days of your departure (if not sooner), assuming there are no damages.

I would prefer to have a video call with prospective renters, as well as to speak with the selected renter's reference(s). (No need to send reference info in your initial email.) If desired, I can furnish my own references so that you'll feel comfortable as well.
