Hello there! I'm looking for someone to split my beautiful furnished apartment for a little while I'm in grad school.
The apartment is in a modern luxury building converted from a glass manufacturing warehouse and has charming details including tall ceilings, old wood beams, and brick walls. Here's the building's website: https://www.glassworksbk.com/
It's a flexible 2-bedroom, where one room doubles as an office space or bedroom. I'm renting out the permanent bedroom and staying in the flexible 2nd bedroom.
I work outside of the home during the day and am often home evenings and weekends. Looking for someone a little more on the extroverted side, not a total home-body, but might like to share a meal or hang out on occasion.
The room is fully furnished along with sheets and towels, so all you'll need to bring is your personal belongings. Great if you're between places or just moving to town.
I'm looking for someone ideally for about 3 months, possibly longer depending on a number of future factors. Weekly sublet is also a possibility, especially in March. Let's talk!
$1400 is the monthly rent for the primary bedroom. Shared expenses come to about $150-$200 per month. This includes wifi, utilities, general household supplies (toilet paper, cleaning products, etc.,), and a monthly house cleaning.
Weekly rate is a $425 flat fee.
The building features and amenities include:
Fully furnished
Tall ceilings
Lots of natural light
Electric stove
Dishwasher
Hardwood floors
Deep soaking bathtub
Fast wi-fi
Courtyard-facing, very quiet
Courtyard access
Washer and dryer in building
Elevator
Gym
Lounge with TV
Study with common area and private rooms
Rooftop with a beautiful view
Dedicated bike storage
A few blocks blocks in either direction to the train - Dekalb L and Knickerbocker M
Tell me a little about yourself and let me know what you're looking for in a shared space!
I like to cook a little and enjoy reading, maybe listen to or play some music. I play bass, guitar, and sing! I'm pretty busy and studious these days so will be in my books and on the computer a lot. My masters program is in Innovation of Products and Services at Carnegie Mellon University (online).
I'm the current tenant
Must earn at least 40x the monthly rent ($56,000) for monthly stays. Will consider guarantors or individual circumstances.
Weekly stays don't require proof of income, just the deposit upfront.
Refundable security deposit required at the same amount of the length of your stay weekly ($425 per week), or $1400 for a month-to-month stay.
