Hi! I’m Dana, the owner, renting out a charming primary bedroom in my Laurel Canyon, Hollywood Hills home. The lore is exciting - it was formerly owned by artist and costume designer Theadora Van Runkle (Bonnie and Clyde, The Godfather Part II, Troop Beverly Hills). https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/laurel-canyon-cottage-home-slideshow
Your bedroom has etched windows that open to the garden, recently redesigned by Porter James NY. A closet for hanging clothes with drawers and shoe racks and a dresser. A bathroom with a large sink and vanity, Japanese soaking tub with shower head. Stained glass windows that open to the back garden. Hallway and bathroom storage.
Cozy living room, fully equipped kitchen, and serene patio and gardens with view of the Hollywood Hills and view of the sign in the winter.
The primary home has two bedrooms, and the outdoor area is shared with another ADU.
Full laundry room with more storage.
Absolutely no pets, as there already is a sweet and spoiled cat on the property. :)
Carport for parking.
Utilities Included (Wi-Fi, utilities, and kitchen supplies).
Short/long-term rental: Several months, with the possibility to extend. The prior tenant moved to LA to shoot a TV show for 3 months and ended up staying for 3 years. :)
Nestled in the Hollywood Hills, the home offers privacy and tranquility minutes from West Hollywood and Studio City. You can walk to a beautiful hike off Mulholland Drive, too. If this sounds like your spot, email me a little about yourself and your timeframe!
I'm a screenwriter who works remotely and will be traveling until at least October. I've been renting out parts of my house for 10 years so I am an experienced "host," but I'm also young and casual (easy to reach and text) and of course, nice! Tenants rarely have to reach out to me, but can contact me 24/7, I have a plumber and electrician on standby, and helpful neighbors who are ready to help with any other issue that could arise.
The bedrooms are separated by a living room. Your roommate will be a writer / dancer in her 20s who loves a quiet space and rarely has anyone over. I know she'd appreciate someone who views the home as a sanctuary and not a party house. She loves music and film and playing the piano at the house.
I'm the owner of the home, and I've lived in it and rented it out on and off for 10 years.
Rent: $3200 per month, with a security deposit of $2000.
