This is a one of a kind space. Seriously, I can’t believe we found it.
Some details:
Max is a non binary mixed media artist and Alec is a cis guy with a very cool sculpture practice. We welcome all art forms that aren’t extremely loud or caustic (we welcome those too but not in our personal space 😝).
We love arts education and welcome folks who want to occasionally teach classes or do skillshares.
The space is beautiful and airy and bright. Electric and water are included.
There is a freight elevator and restrooms, including a gender neutral single stall.
There is a café in the building and tons of food nearby. You’ll be a 5 min walk from Grand Central Market and even walkable to the subway.
Parking: there are tons of lots nearby (we can tell you the cheapest ones). Plenty of metered parking/free disabled parking outside— I’ve never had to park further than 2 blocks away.
Space is fully accessible, with elevator service and a doorman to assist with any needs. Doors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and are hinged/knobbed. We are disability advocates and are open to making the space more accessible in any way.
Alec will have a private room attached to the loft. Max is looking for two others to share the main space with. Approx 250 sq ft per person. There will be a fridge, table, water cooler, and microwave.
Space shares a building with The Last Bookstore. There is also a common space for renters with a screen and large boardroom table, so if you work remotely and need to take calls, you’ll have a private space to do so.
