House history: 4 artists (2 couples) bought the house together,
2 fine artists, 1 fabric designer and me. I had majored in cartooning at art school and worked as both cartoonist & light illustrator. Right out of art school, I worked on the magazine staff for Lions Clubs Int'l. (similar to Rotary clubs, etc.) Next, worked designing gift wrap, had solo task of designing a 'Studio Line', first 'cartoon gift wrap' at that company. Took a job as designer of window display at Silvestri & Co.,then moved to N.Y. where I was snapped up by store window display company, thanks to previous impressive employer.
Then, a fun job at a 5th Ave. Ad agency, where I did story boards for 'My Little Pony' & other kid-stuff. My last job was strictly office work at a therapy clinic that also taught Interns, about to graduate from local colleges. My job was to badger the Interns to get their paperwork in.
Along the way, I missed out on Housekeeping 101.
