My house is a row house conjoined with other houses built for railroad workers in 1860. It is surrounded by woods, quiet, good neighbors. There is parking on the street. There is an open front porch with wicker chairs; open space on first floor with living room (piano!), dining area and kitchen; a back room that looks out on the garden, a back porch and a long yard with a large locust tree.

Bedroom upstairs with a full size bed, drawers, desk and chair. Bathroom has a glass shower stall, toilet, sink. It is furnished and has full appliances in kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, sink). Washing machine and dryer in the basement. There is wifi.

A car is necessary to get around, and one can walk as well into the village of Athens where there is a bread shop, two restaurants, cafe, an inn on the river with an outdoor restaurant, liquor/wine store and convenience store. Grocery stores are a short drive away in Catskill or Coxsackie. Beautiful hikes and lakes nearby.

I am looking for a single person or couple who may be seeking a quiet and creative space to be for 6 weeks. No pets.

I (she, her) am a dance artist, actor, vocalist, educator who teaches and creates work nationally and internationally.

I Love My House! It is a sanctuary for me and I spend as much time as I can here. It is a creative space for me. I keep my house very clean. It is comfortably furnished and spacious with a lot of light. It faces east and west. The neighborhood is very special, each house is unique, with a mix of folks - some live here full time with their families, some are commuters, some have lived there many years, some are new neighbors.

I will be showing the house to prospective subletters. I am the contact person for whomever will stay there.
