Our fully furnished 1BR apartment is on the first floor of a Victorian house. It has a backyard, front porch, and a driveway for off-street parking. No one lives on the second floor so the outdoor space is not shared and there are no shared walls since it's a free-standing house. This is a such a rarity in New York and we love the peace and quiet it allows for!
If you choose to inquire, please include a little bit about yourself in your email. If you are able to add a LinkedIn profile, a website or Airbnb guest profile, that helps a lot. Thank you!
Note: 1) Price negotiable if you seem like a great fit 2) Minimum stay is 1 weeks. We prefer people to stay for the whole time, but if you want to do 1 week, we can see about making that work.
Some things we love about living here:
:: LOTS OF WINDOWS that look out to trees.
:: QUIET. This is honestly the quietest New York apartment either of us have ever lived in. The house is on a street with almost no traffic.
:: SPACIOUS. The rooms are large and the layout is lovely. You have a real dining room, a foyer, and a large kitchen.
:: THE KITCHEN. We cook a lot and this kitchen is a dream! There's tons of counter space and multiple people can work comfortably together. We also have a dishwasher and an espresso machine.
:: BACKYARD. The backyard is huge and feels very private.
Other little things of note:
-- very fast internet
-- extremely comfy bed
-- a driveway if you need to park your car
-- a projector and excellent movie watching setup
-- we have no laundry but there's a laundromat just a block away and they have a great wash-and-fold service
About the neighborhood: We love Ditmas Park. We're a 10 minute walk from Prospect Park, a 15 minute walk from Greenwood Cemetery. Though our favorite walk is just around the neighborhood because it's so lovely with the tree lined streets and flowers. It's a great place to experience spring in NYC!
There's tons of great restaurants nearby. Also a wide variety of grocery stores from the Flatbush co-op, to Ideal market, and Pakistani stores like Zaitoon.
Sadly, our landlord is strict about not allowing any pets.
My husband Kent and I are filmmakers and have spent a lot of time working on creative projects from home. The apartment is a great place to make work, and we'd love to share it with other artists and people who appreciate those qualities.
We're both very clean and it's important to us anyone who lives in our home cares for it like we do.
