One huge bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (with his and hers sinks) opening up on the top floor of a Bushwick duplex, starting February 1st, ending June 30th, with the option to apply for lease renewal. The room will be unfurnished.
The apartment is a 15 min walk from the Halsey L, 10 min walk from the Halsey J, and right around the corner from the B60 bus route. Only a few blocks from Irving Square Park and about a mile from Highland Park. Good availability for street parking if you have a car.
There is central air/heating, an in unit washer & dryer, dishwasher, a shared office space (with printer), upright piano, as well as a patio and shared backyard. Kitchen has all updated appliances, huge shared living/dining room. Tons of natural light in all the rooms as well two skylights on the top floor, very high ceilings.
You will be sharing the duplex with two other roommates, and two cats. Cats will be allowed under some circumstances, no dogs please.
My partner and I have lived in this room for the last year and a half, and are moving for familial reasons, otherwise we would stay.
I am a touring musician and my partner is a writer and bartender. You would be living with a grad student and a freelance photographer.
We keep a cozy, clean, and respectful energy about the house and would like to keep it that way. The house is large enough to host dinner parties (photo included) which we would do occasionally, so the space is open to that within reason.
I am one of the current leaseholders
Rent is $2,700 a month. My partner and I shared this space so this room would be ideal for a couple but not required.
We paid a security deposit upon move-in so would like one month's rent and ideally security deposit up front, but security deposit can be negotiated.
Utilities not included - gas / heat / wifi will be paid to one of our roommates.
As you would be replacing two out of four of the current roommates, we would love to meet you in person + have a formal sublet agreement in which I would share your information with the current landlord.
There are two other cats in this space, a 16-year old senior cat and a 2 year old. One cat will be allowed on a case-by-case basis-- must have up to date vet records.
