I am moving out from this huge, sun-soaked primary bedroom in a stunning, well-maintained 3bed/2bath Brooklyn brownstone on the border of Bed Stuy and Clinton Hill. It is available to rent from December 1 to May 31, with an option to extend. Utilities are fully included, so only other expense is internet.
The unit is two floors (the ground/garden floor and the second floor). The kitchen is very spacious with lots of counter space and a large island. There is a living room on each floor, and a HUGE private backyard. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer *in unit*!! The upstairs (where your room would be) has high ceilings, and the room is very large, around 15'x15'.
You would be living with two roommates and sharing a gorgeous sunny, two-sink bathroom with one female roommate. We are looking for someone who is friendly, clean, and willing to have open communication about norms, chores, and shared resources. During the weekdays, the house is lowkey and likes to stay in a routine with work, cooking, and winding down the evening. The intention is to build a nice communal home with the future roommate. Because we have so much space, there is plenty of room for hosting occasional and intimate get togethers like dinner parties and social hours on free weekends.
The location is very convenient, and the Nostrand A/C stop is literally a 2 minute walk from our front door. The B26 and B44 bus stops are also 30 seconds away. The Bedford-Nostrand G stop is a 10 minute walk away. The neighborhood is beautiful, tree-lined, and lively with tons of neighborhood bars, restaurants and affordable grocery stores. Prospect Park is also about 20 min by S train, 15 min by bike, and 30 min walk.
I am a legal services attorney moving to Queens for personal and job-related reasons.
One remaining roommate (she/her) is a graduate student at Columbia University studying social work, and the other (he/him) is a PHD student at NYU studying data science. We are all in our late 20s.
