I will be showing the apartment, in person, starting January 7th. Please DM directly to set up an appointment. The apartment is a 3bed/1.5 bath. The entire space is over 1500+ sq feet. I'm subletting one room, unfurnished, for 6 months to a year. The room is large and can fit a king-size bed + additional furniture and still have room to spare. My preference is to have someone move in by February 1st.
The Neighborhood/Building:
Two blocks south of Prospect Park, 5 minutes away from the Q/B train, 20 minutes from downtown Manhattan. It's a lively neighborhood; with restaurants/cafes, cheap eats, poultry/fish markets, grocery stores, bars, and everything is budget friendly around here. There's a Target, Wonder and Starbucks one block away.
Ideal Roommate;
- Financially responsible & pays rent on time
- Independent, friendly & quiet
- Cleans up after themselves and dedicates time to tidying up the apartment
- Must be POC/LGBTQ-friendly. I'm a POC myself. My other roommate is a kind, respectful individual, she is a working professional who works in the office and is a student
- I'm going back to school and and my partner works in film/production remotely
- Students are welcome

Send a bio, let me know what you like about the space, why you're looking to move here, and any questions you have for me. If this is a good fit for both of us, there is an opportunity to extend the sublease.
At home, I like to wind down, rest, and recharge, and am more introverted than when I'm out and about. I'm social but also need my space. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with friends & family. I go to museums, comedy shows, and am always exploring prospect park. I dog & cat sit too at other people's homes!
Friends:
Occasionally I like to have people over for dinner. I will always say hi to you and your friends in passing. If you would like to come to visit the apartment with a friend -- they're more than welcome!
Partners/overnight guests:
I've lived with roommates that are in steady relationships, poly, casually dating multiple people, flings, bi, straight, gay, queer...I respect it, and have absolutely no judgment whatsoever. I'm okay w. overnight guests as long as you provide a heads up and they are not additional roommates (cannot stay majority of the week).
Drugs/Alcohol etc:
I have a beer or a glass of wine here and there but don't drink as much as I use to. Totally cool with you drinking.
Weed:
All good, just don't hot box the apartment and pls smoke in your room and make sure the smell stays there. I have a shisha/hookah at home. I will invite you to join me if you're down.
Substance abuse:
I have lived with a roommate that was an alcoholic before and had to move out because I was afraid for my safety. I understand that people can turn to substances, esp if they have a lot going on but if it starts to impact the vibe in the apartment and leads to disrespect, I will kindly ask you to leave.
Cooking:
I love to cook when I'm home, especially because I move around so much. My happy place in the kitchen, it's very organized & clean. I bake bread and pizzas so the counters are kept empty for the most part. There are shelves for appliances, cabinets for pantry items, and baskets for fruits and vegetables. I'll definitely be offering you food that I make.
