We're subletting our 2nd floor walkup apartment in Astoria while we're away for the spring semester 2025, and hope to find someone who loves the space and the neighborhood as much as we do.
The apartment is huge by NYC standards, with 2 bedrooms (both with queen sized beds), an office (with a futon for an extra guest room), a large living/dining room, and galley kitchen. All utilities are included - heat, electric, gas, internet. We don't have a TV but you could bring one.
Its a short trip into Manhattan, with two subway stations and the M60 bus all within a 10 minute walk. The neighborhood is known for the plethora of restaurants and great food stores, has a large park by the East River, and a number of cultural destinations nearby too (Noguchi Museum, Museum of the Moving Image, Socrates Sculpture park). The tree in the photo is what the front bedroom looks out at in the springtime for several weeks - a beautiful time to be in the neighborhood.
We're a couple who likes to travel and will be away for the spring semester.
Longtime tenants.
We'll require one month security deposit and the first months rent up front. We'll ask for a rental reference.
The dates for renting are somewhat flexible.
We don't have pets but would consider a cat or small dog.
