An excellently-priced room (9 x 13), is available in our 3-bedroom apartment in Astoria! The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a residential house, about a 5-min walk from the 30th Av subway stop. We have a full living room, dining room, modern kitchen, and a lovely balcony. The room has a nice window overlooking a cherry tree, a closet, and can comfortably fit a full-sized bed, dresser, etc.
Also the 30th Ave area is full of everything--stores, cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, gyms, laundromats, etc. We live off a quiet side street, so all of the advantages and none of the noise.
About This Lister
We are a female and a male in our 20s and 30s and have been roommates for the past 2 years and in this space. He: works in construction and engineering, onsite and work from home (variable schedule, typically WFH several days a week.) She: works a marketing job in the city, four days a week in the office, and WFH on Friday.
We are neat and considerate, get along well, mostly do our own thing, but enjoy a good chat and hang from time to time.

Rental requirements
We're looking for someone who is clean, respectful, chill, and pays rent on time (the basics) This person should have a work schedule that is at least mostly onsite/outside of the house (we are not looking for a full time remote worker due to space considerations and our schedules). No smoking inside.

Move in details:
- Rent is $895, plus about $50-60 per month for utilities
- First month's rent and security deposit are due at move-in
We are very lucky to have a wonderful landlady with whom we have a no-lease agreement (old school!), though male roommate has lived in the apartment for over seven years, so it's a very stable rental situation. We are looking for someone who can commit for a year. Landlady will run a credit check.
