I’m subletting a room in my 3 bedroom apartment for at least a couple of months. Dates are flexible. The room is huge, and facing away from the street. There is a pretty black walnut tree outside the window, and a fire escape out the other window. There is a large closet, and the two large windows. There are hard wood floors. The room can be furnished with a bed, desk, mirror and nightstand, if you’d like, or it can be unfurnished. I am hoping to find somebody who will be fairly quiet from 9pm to 6am, and who loves dogs and little kids. You’d be living with me, a 42 year old, gay, solo parent and nurse (pronouns - she/her), my 2 year old daughter, and our 10 year old, 80 pound dog. My daughter is sweet, happy and chill, but does occasionally cry, and pup is also super sweet, but barks when the doorbell rings. Please only inquire, if you are excited by the idea of living with an unconventional family. We are gone during the day, at work and daycare, but are home at night and on weekends. I wake up at 5am most days, so will be moving about, making coffee, etc, very early, but I try to be super quiet.

The apartment is on a busy block in Bedstuy, half a block from the Nostrand AC, between Nostrand and Bedford. We are close to tons of restaurants and shops! There are grocery stores, pharmacies, coffee shops, all within a block or two. We are in a third floor walk up with no elevator. The common space is massive (the apartment is 1300 sq feet), with 18 foot ceilings. There is one bathroom, a large kitchen with dishwasher and lots of counter space, and a living room and large dining table. Feel free to have friends over! I have friends and/or my girlfriend, over about twice a week. Some nights we hang out and cook and drink wine, some nights I’m asleep by 9.

I am a nurse at a clinic in Chelsea. I’m quiet and very clean. I like to socialize and have people over, but also like to go to bed early. I go out about one night a week. A babysitter will be over whenever I’m out at night. My babysitters are all wonderful, quiet, and sweet! I work at the clinic 3-4 days a week, and work from home 1-2 days. My daughter is a bit loud at times, and leaves toys and books around, but she is at daycare until 5:30 during the week and goes to bed at 8pm. I clean up every morning and evening and try to keep the place tidy. There is a lot of painting and coloring, building blocks, stuffed animals and tiny cars. You know, two year old things :) I’m in the kitchen a lot, making meals and snacks, and enjoy eating and making food with roommates. I would love to find somebody social and friendly, who likes to hang out from time to time, and won’t mind toddler chatter and giggling, but who also likes to spend some quiet time in their room or who goes out once in a while.
