Hi! I’m moving out so my room is available starting March 1st. Looking for a long term sublet until July with option to re-sign. LMK if you have any flexibility with move-in, before march 15th is best, with prorated rent!
Large, unfurnished 13.3’x10.5’ room, 1 bath. Features include two windows, tall 11’ ceilings and a large closet with a storage cabinet above. The room is shown with a queen sized bed, 2 dresser. The tall boy dresser I will be leaving behind for free if you are interested!
We are on a quiet, picturesque block of the Carroll Gardens historic district on Carroll St, and conveniently around the corner from the Carroll Street Subway (F & G), where the F takes you directly into the city and the G travels throughout Brooklyn. Easy transfers to the A, C and R trains. We're near Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, plenty of bars, breweries, restaurants, and parks! The neighborhood farmers market is around the corner too! An easy bike ride to Red Hook, Prospect Park and Downtown Brooklyn, and even lovely Sunset Park.. City bikes available across the street!
~20 mins to Manhattan by bike or train~
The apartment is the top floor of a cute 2-story brownstone with 2 skylights, spacious front garden, private entry and indoor bike storage. We generally have the front garden as our space, and our downstairs neighbors have the backyard. Our garden is a lovely semi-private space in our front yard with a table and chairs. The apartment has storage in our entry hall, full sized kitchen (no dishwasher), 1 full bath, no laundry (there is a laundromat at the end of the block). The living room / dining is equipped with a couch, mini fridge, coffee table, and large dining table.
We keep to ourselves but sometimes like splitting beers and watching the occasional movie together. The space is generally tidy but not neat-freaky, would be best to have someone who is similarly relaxed. Also bonus points if you're an avid recycler.
Reply with a short intro and what you're looking for from your roommates and apartment dynamic. The current roommates are looking for roommates so we can get along and hang out sometimes. Possible group dinners or roommates outings, but people have busy lives too. We'll figure out what works for us!
Leaving roommate says:
"Great neighborhood! I am leaving to move in to my own studio apartment and to be closer to work (i work all the way down in manhattan beach, coudn’t handle the trek anymore lol!) The building is a little rough. But we have been working with maintenance for repairs. They have been open to making changes and re-painted and fixed the bathroom earlier this year. The landlord is easy to reach by phone. When a repair is needed he sends one of his guys to check it out.
Roommates are nice, friendly people. 1 Male late 30s tutors from home during the day and hosts trivia around the neighborhood in the evening. 1 Male late 20s dog walking. Out of the house weekdays 9-5
