We're subletting our apartment for one month during Summer.

A bit about the building -

It's a converted school house with uniquely designed double height lofts.
The building is very secure - with 24 hr doorman service. There's also a maintenance team here every day should something need to be addressed.
There is a small gym and a swimming pool in the basement. The swimming pool is only open Tuesday & Thursday nights (6-9) and Saturday & Sunday (10-2). Each session is monitored by a lifeguard.
Laundry on-site in the basement (washers and dryers cost $2.50 per cycle).
The location is amazing, especially in Summer. We are located on a quiet street, at the corner of Madison & Jackson.
The East River is a block away, Soho is a 20-30 minute walk, and the best restaurants in Chinatown are a 10 minute stroll. We're also conveniently located near a Citi Bike dock, behind the building.
The Subway stops East Broadway (F) and Delancey St– Essex St (F, J, M, Z) are both a 10 minute walk.
Trader Joes is a 5-10 minute walk away.

Our apartment -

We have two cats who will be staying in the apartment while we are gone, so we're looking for someone to sublet that is comfortable with this arrangement. Price of $5,000/month includes a discount to account for pet care.

It's approximately 1200 sq. ft.
1.5 bathrooms.
1 queen bedroom.
1 office room (we have a twin bedframe + mattress that we could put in this space instead of the office setup if you have a child coming with you).
Double height ceilings with four huge windows - south facing.
Utilities included in monthly price (water, internet, electricity).
Central air throughout the property.
Projector available.
Fully stocked kitchen to cook in (rice cooker, coffee machine, air fryer, etc).

We are on the ground / first floor, however the apartment is slightly raised so you cannot see in from ground level.

The apartment will be professionally cleaned before you arrive.

Our cats -

We have two indoor cats that are quite self sufficient but do need some love and attention while we are away.
They have an automatic food dispenser that feeds them twice a day, as well as an automatic water dispenser.

We need someone to stay that's willing to freshen up their litter, daily, and someone that wants to play with them and give them attention.

Accessibility -

There are steps leading into the building and a few steps once you are in the building to get to our apartment. I think the doorman has a ramp if needed (we can check if necessary).
We have a staircase in the apartment to get to the sleeping spaces.
There is an elevator to get to the basement.

About This Lister

We are a couple working within photography, so the house is filled with beautiful prints and artwork as well as nicely designed furniture.

We are the current tenants but will be away for a month in August.

Our neighbors in the building are close friends, should something arise while we are gone!
