Hi!

I'm an Associate Creative Director living and working here in Brooklyn. I'll be heading to London for a few weeks and would love to find a great subletter for my 1-bedroom apartment while I'm gone.

The apartment is located in an old townhouse on the parlor floor, so has nice high ceilings, hardwood floors, crown moldings and other charming touches from its past life. The large doors open into the living room, where you'll find a comfy couch, armchair, some plant friends and a fake fireplace that I use even when seasonally inappropriate. One of my favorite things about the apartment is that it gets tons of natural light - to the point that I never turn any lights on until nighttime.

The kitchen has a big island table that's great for cooking/ serving as a chill dining table, but it's also really nice just to hang around and sip some candlelit wine. There's a pantry filled with everything you need to make literally anything. It's a vibe.

The bedroom faces out into the backyard (sadly not mine, but befriend my downstairs neighbors and they'll probably invite you) so it's got a nice zen vibe and stays pretty peaceful. You get a lot of birdsong in the morning, sometimes with the odd chicken. There's a little desk by the window for working, and it also has what I refer to as my 'bootleg terrace' - a little roofed area you can pop out, grab a seat and chill out. (Disclaimer: The chairs are a little weathered as of late, so I might avoid them.)

The bathroom is smaller and comically does *not* fit in with the rest of the apartment, but I love it and think it's got some throwback 80s charm. It also has a tub for your winddown needs and a 'Tushy' bidet because why not?

If you can't tell, I love my spot and hope you will too! My goal is to find someone who will take care of it like it's their own.

The Neighborhood:

The apartment is in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. We're on a quiet, tree-lined block near Tompkins street. Tompkins has some cute shops and restaurants.

There are several good grocery stories nearby, coffee joints and cozy bars. Herbert Von King park is about a 10 minute walk and lovely for strolls and dog-watching in the midst of a WFH day.
